New Avatar Rules - A Moderating Request

I posted some in the Avatar thread and a lot of them do not relate to American Girl, but they're all cute and sweet and pretty... but if they are inappropriate feel free to delete them [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

A lot of them would fit into the nature category, but I am not sure how I would categorize the ones the girls, etc. They certainly fit with the spirit of AG and are not controversial. Everyone who asked for help with their avatars now has a lot of good choices. I hope to see some on board very soon.

They are JPEG format and the right pixel size so just:

Right click on your desired avatar sample and save the picture in your computer.

Go to your profile to upload a custom avatar.

Click here (in red) to add a custom avatar

Browse and click on the sample avatar you saved from the board.

Click on "upload"

Click here (in blue) to return to your profile.

Click Update Profile at the bottom of the screen.

Check back on the board on one of your posts and see if the new avatar appears. Sometimes it takes a couple of minutes to show up or a refresh to show up.

I just uploaded one of Cami's and it worked very easily and quickly. I had to refresh the screen to get it to show up. My old one still showed up for a bit.

Is mine ok? Mine's not AG....but it's not innapropriate. It just says American Idol in the middle and 4 different colored blocks that either say American Idol or have a shadow of a person singing. No other pic will work for me, I don't like not having an avatar, and I don't want to use pre-made ones.

The mods will PM you if your avatar is not OK. Since this is a new rule, we may have to tweak it a little and see what works best for the board. Thanks for all the cooperation so far.
